Breakfast & After School Club

Breakfast Club

Breakfast club is an important facility for pupils with working parents and for those who perhaps need a good start to the school day with a meal inside them. It is open to all pupils, aged 4 – 11 years and is run by experienced members of staff, both first-aid trained. Children are dropped off in the Parents Room which is immediately on the left as you enter the main school entrance.

Breakfast club is open from 7.30am (term time only). Food is served until 8.15am. KS1 pupils stay in breakfast club until 8.35am, whereas KS2 pupils are allowed onto the playground at 8.20am when there is staff supervision.

There is a small cost of £1.50 which includes breakfast if needed (Breakfast club is free for pupils whose parents are in receipt of benefits - please check with the office if you think you may qualify) Breakfast provided is a range of cereals, toast with jam, marmalade or Marmite and occasionally croissants and crumpets.

Activities provided include construction toys, creative activities, role play, board games and some physical games, e.g badminton. There is also time to complete any unfinished homework.

Breakfast club must be booked 2 weeks in advance so that appropriate staffing ratios can be put in place.
