Welcome to Year 1 and 2

Class 1/2 SD is taught by Mrs Seymour and Miss Dewer supported by Mrs Pawlack. We will have our PE lessons on Wednesday afternoon. When we need to change our reading book we must put it in the yellow box inside the classroom.

Dinosaurs

Welcome back! We have begun our new learning theme, Dinosaurs. We began by exploring fossils and skeletons .

We have been super busy learning about dinosaurs from the Triassic , Jurassic and cretaceous periods by exploring our dinosaur timeline.

We have been making fossils using salt dough and dinosaur eggs using paper mache and balloons.

Did you know that dinosaurs laid there eggs in certain formations?

We have also been sorting dinosaurs that are herbivores, carnivores and omnivores, some of the children realised that they are either herbivores or omnivores !

This terms topic is called

Moon Zoom!

This term we will be learning all about space and astronauts !

We will be designing and making model alien space ships, creating our own space sounds , creating our own moon terrain to help us explore and understand what it must feel like to walk on the moon and much, much more!
