Children in Need 2021

Children in Need 2021

On Friday, children and school staff around the country took part in a range of fun activities to raise money for Children in Need. The charity works to ensure that every child in the UK has a safe, happy, and secure childhood. They use the donations to fund their work and provide grants to organisations for projects that help disadvantaged children and young people all over the country.

This year, we fully embraced dress up on Friday and collected over £100 via our Just Giving Page. It was great to see everyone dressed in yellow, in pajamas or in polkadots. It made for a very colourful day!

Since hitting the airwaves of the BBC in 1980, Children in Need has helped raise over £950 million to help disadvantaged young people in the UK, and schools play a huge part in helping to raise money and supporting the event.

At The Manor, we view Children in Need as a great platform to teach our students how to be charitable and kind, and about the importance of helping others. Learning the significance of these values will help to develop lasting habits that will be practised in adult life.
