Such a beautiful and touching gesture. On Wednesday 4th December, our school choir visited Wharf Court retirement housing and gave a heartwarming performance to residents.
Accompanied by Miss O’Kane, our fantastic choir sang a selection of Christmas carols and other hymns to delighted residents at the retirement home.
After the performance, a collection was held, with proceeds contributing to our school’s donation to Save the Children. Generous attendees also had plenty of sweets to offer our grateful children.
The donations from this event will be added to those collected on Christmas Jumper Day on Friday 13th December. We can’t wait to see everyone in their finest knits!
One of the six core Christian values that underpin everything we do at The Manor is kindness. By taking the time and making the effort to perform to residents at Wharf Court, our choir demonstrated this crucial virtue, so important at this time of year. We are so proud of our caring pupils.
Everyone at our school is proud to be a part of our great local community, and we love taking part in activities and events that bring us closer together.
We’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who attended the performance and who generously donated to our Save the Children fund. Our children all loved meeting you!
