Miss Meabh O'Kane

Welcome to Monarch class!

In our year 1 classroom we have Miss O’Kane and Miss Osbourne helping us through our learning journey. We love to keep things very practical to help inspire our learning and especially love to capture our learning through lots of photographs as we learn to record it for ourselves. In Year 1 we continue with adult and child led activities and slowly begin to build up our independence. We teach phonics following Little Wandle Letters and Sounds revised scheme which is taught daily to help prepare us for our phonic screening test in Term 6. Each week your child will complete reading sessions in school, this book will then be sent home for them to practice.
